The parallel interface, Ultra ATA, in most of todays desktop storage systems is now facing its limit. The Parallel ATA interface has been in use as the standard legacy storage device for individual users for over 17 years. Samsung has adopted the new interface, Serial ATA, and will continue to launch products with SATA interface for years to come.
